SOLsearcher Enterprise - System Requirements

The listed hardware specifications reflect the minimum supported system requirements for SOLsearcher™ Enterprise components. The minimum supported requirements provide the basic resources necessary to run SOLsearcher Enterprise.

Recommended hardware specifications are determined by the amount of processing your indexing activity will require, the number of end users, and the hardware currently available on the market Please contact Solimar Systems for hardware recommendations that fit your needs and environment.

Server Requirements

Application Server

OS: Microsoft® Windows® Server 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit editions), Windows® Server 2008 R2, and Windows® Server 2012
CPU: 2.4 GHz, Dual Core

HDD: 2GB free disk space for software installation, formatted with Windows NT File System (NTFS)
NIC: Ethernet network interface supporting the maximum speed of the network, preferably 1 Gb/s or greater
USB Ports: 1 available port required if using physical license keys*

Database Server

Microsoft® SQL Server 2005 (Service Pack 2), 2008, 2012, 2014: 1 CPU license; SQL Agent must be set to automatically start
Unicode plane 0 (the default plane) is supported by SQL Server 2005 and later. If you will index data that uses Unicode plane 1 and above, SQL Server 2012 is required.
